History Of Flex-c-ment

Mr Andy Yoder has been in research and development for over 25 years and has developed a number of products, including one patent.

Some of Mr. Yoder's developments include:

1. Developed and manufactured a STOVE BOARD for the wood stove industry in 1977. This was a light-weight polymer and fiber reinforced cement-based product.

It was at this time that the BONDING AGENT was discovered, which was then incorporated into many other developments. This product has proven to be unique in its field. What sets this bonding agent apart from many others that we tested is that when it contacts cement it crystallizes the cement and causes it to bond or adhere to most any surface. That's why we have been able to bond to surfaces that were painted, sealed, glazed, and where other wise it would have required extensive prep work including sandblasting etc.

2. Invented a light wt. High temperature endurance chimney flue system UL listed and patented.

3. A light-weight, insulated, fiber reinforced, cement-based material for walls with various patterns and designs, applied directly to drywall and other wall surfaces. This material can be texture stamped or hand sculptured and then color pigmented.

4. A light-weight, fiber reinforced cement-based floor system to apply over various surfaces such as wood, gypsum, vinyl, concrete and other exterior or interior floor surfaces. This system allows substrates to move (expand and contract) without affecting the overlay material. This has been very effective for wood decks, interior wood floors for kitchens, baths, foyers, dinning rooms laundry rooms etc. Can be sealed or coated with various sealers, urethanes, or epoxies.

5. A super hard cement-based overlay system for stamping various patterns and designs over existing concrete surfaces without extensive prep work.

6. A cement-based material to level, slope, resurface, and other wise correct concrete surface problems. We have done extensive work with contractors commercial and residential as well as institutions, recapping concrete at any thickness.
