Brick Slip Product Info
Tumbled Brick Slips
In the production phase the Brick Slip is subjected to a specific ageing process, and with the uniqueness of our formula, allow us to achieve vintage results, indistinguishable from the reclaimed brick. Not just a brick Slip made in the old fashioned way (genuine hand made or soft mud made) but a Brick Slip worked and mixed with quality and reliability.
Made from natural materials
Brick slips Tumbled a slip cut from a natural Brick. The material used to make the brick is a mixture of clay and sand.
Brick Slip Tumbled Process & Cost
Each brick slip is cut from a natural full brick. This process is labour intensive and can make the brick slip more expensive than the full brick. During this process 20% of all the Brick Slips cut are not suitable for sale, adding to the over-all cost. The bricks are then sorted, checked and packaged in robust cardboard boxes. This makes it extremely easy for the customer to transport, store and handle. We make every effort to keep the cost as low as possible.
Weight
Our brick slips weigh between 34 to 35 kilagrams when installed on the wall
Pointing
Because the depth of the Brick Slip when pointed and raked is only 10 to 15mm, Likestone recommend using our Brick Slip pointing mortar. This product is designed for brick Slips and can be applied at minimum depths without the joint fracturing in time. To View pointing demonstrations see Brick Video and Vineyard Stone video on our Video page
